Hi, I’m Matt, owner and operator of Apex. I’ve been working in the hardscaping field for over 20 years, and throughout that time I’ve developed the skills and experience that allow our crew to be not only highly detailed, but also efficient and effective on every project. I take a hands-on role in all aspects of the work, and if you choose to work with Apex, you’ll be dealing directly with me from the first conversation through to the final walkthrough.
I take a thoughtful approach to how projects are carried out and care deeply about the overall experience for my clients. I work with respect for your home and property, place a strong emphasis on clear communication, and believe that how a job is managed is just as important as the finished result. Whether a project is a small improvement or a full outdoor transformation, my goal is to deliver quality craftsmanship and an experience that feels organized, fair, and well looked after from start to finish.

STEP 1 - CONSULTATION

STEP 2 - DESIGN & PLANNING
Once the consultation is complete, we develop a detailed 3D design that reflects your vision and functional needs. After finalizing the layout, materials, and scope of work, we provide a clear, transparent contract outlining the project details, timeline, and investment. This ensures everyone is aligned before moving forward and allows the build phase to begin with confidence.
STEP 3 - BUILD & INSTALL
Once the design is approved, our skilled crew gets to work. We handle everything from hardscaping and interlock installation to full landscape construction, delivering high-quality craftsmanship with precision and care. We focus on one project at a time to ensure attention to detail and a stress-free experience.

3D DESIGN
We create detailed 3D designs to help you visualize your outdoor space before any work begins. This ensures your project is planned perfectly, saving time, avoiding surprises, and giving you confidence in the final result.
INTERLOCK
A long-lasting interlock installation starts with proper excavation. We remove unsuitable native material and install a compacted granular base to ensure stability and prevent settling. All projects are finished with quality concrete edge restraint to lock the system in place, along with polymeric or resin sand (where acceptable) to secure joints and reduce movement. Built right from the base up for durability and performance.
RETAINING WALLS
Our retaining walls are built for both strength and style. From garden walls to structural grade systems, we ensure proper excavation, a reinforced base, and geogrid installation where required. Each wall is constructed with adequate drainage using clear stone and weeping tile to relieve hydrostatic pressure, helping prevent shifting, bowing, or failure over time. Built right from the ground up for lasting performance.
STEPS
Whether you’re looking for natural stone steps or block and cap systems, we’ve got you covered. All of our steps are built on foundation base blocks and reinforced with geogrid to ensure long-term stability. Proper excavation and a compacted base are key to preventing settling and ensuring your steps remain safe and level for years to come.
